Where's the beef?

Okay, Ill admit that I have been a bit wordy lately. Where are all the pictures you ask? That's really what you're here for, I know. Small snaphots of my life. Nobody wants to read, that's like work and stuff. Well I'm sorry to tell you that this will be a post full of words as I have not gotten my act together.

I NEED a new camera. Okay maybe not NEED, but I really, really want one. My picture taking skills are sub par at best and I just KNOW that a sparkly new camera will fix me of my funk. I have become lazy and have used my phone to take most of my pictures. Bad, I know.

So this morning I woke up and said to myself, "self, just use what you already have, you don't need a new camera". I went to dig out the regular digital camera. We have two so you would think it would be easy enough to find something.

Okay, found one. Try to turn on, battery is dead (not surprising).

Cant find the cord that fits this particular camera (but managed to find every other cord known to man).

UGH. Okay, well maybe I can find the battery charger that plugs into the wall.

AHA! Found one.

CRAP. That's the battery charger for the other camera which is still MIA.

Well maybe I can find the other camera.

Search for other camera for 30 mins before I realize that we haven't been using that camera because the memory stick is weird and doesn't fit into the computer without a special adaptor. And the cord is missing so I cant just plug it in to the USB.

Well poop. Now I remember why Ive been using my phone. All this stuff is missing in order for me to even turn on the damn thing.

Okay now I'm back where we started. I NEED a new camera. I have delusional dreams of owning (and actually knowing how to use) some fancy, schmancy professional grade camera. My pictures would be great because my camera is great, right? Besides, I know I'm missing some very sweet moments of Little G's life because my camera phone has a lag of like 5 seconds from the time I hit the button to the time that it actually captures the photos. And I might actually want to share some personal quilting project updates if the photos I took reflected the personality of the the project themselves, instead of the sad and pathetic, color voiding, blurry photos that I have been taking.

So Ive wasted the better part of the morning trying to find my most perfect camera online. Hmm, I guess I should also be looking for a second job.

But here is a promise to you. I will post something (hopefully today) that contains a beautiful photo that I have taken. I will fix this. I can do it. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...
